Something doesn't work. How do I fix it? |
There are the man pages, which contain the directions for each command and some important files, too. Use the 'man' or 'apropos' command to look for a command or subject respectively: man grep
apropos security
Use the DocView on new UnixWare7 host to search for a word or words. If the host is down, use the docserver at SCO:
Use the SCO Support Knowledge Center.
My two favorite places for information: http://groups.google.com/ <-- Search the newsgroups http://www.google.com/ <-- Search in general http://wdb1.sco.com/kb/search http://www.sco.com/cgi-bin/ssl_reference?xxxx <-- SCO TA's (Technical Aritcles)
groups.google.com is what was formerly Deja, a Usenet Archive with a good
search engine. wdbl.sco.com/kb/search is the SCO Technical Article home page where you can search the SCO database for your issue or problem. The Usenet newsgroups that you will want to focus on are: comp.unix.unixware.misc
comp.unix.sco.misc
comp.unix.sco.programmer -- Programing Questions
There is an excellent UW 7 book recently published:Henriksen G. and M., _UnixWare 7 System Administration_There are excellent web sites by other good people at: http://www.aplawrence.com/ http://www.pcunix.com/ http://www.cruzio.com/~jeffl/sco/index.html<mschalit@pacbell.net> gerberb@zenez.com | |
