(Answer) (Category) SCO UnixWare 7/OpenUNIX 8/OpenServer 6 FAQ : (Category) System Administration :
What is the DCU? What do I need to know about it?
The DCU is the Device Configuration Utility which is a character based, menu driven interface for viewing and modifying the hardware configuration of your computer, such as IRQ's and port addresses.

You can always exit and cancel any changes.

It is one of the only ways to see your hardware setup, unlike OpenServer 5 which had the handy hwconfig -h.

During ISL, you have only one chance to enter the DCU. You can not go back using the F9 key and enter it a second time. You can't enter it once you skip it.

During ISL, it is a good idea to go into the DCU and disable any HBA drivers for which you don't have hardware. There are about a dozen or so, and you don't need them all.
