What's the logical block size? |
The logical block size is set during ISL when creating the filesystem. In the sco docs, it's defined as "the size of the blocks that the kernel uses to read and write data."(1) It can be set to 1024, 2048, 4096, or 8192 bytes. The default is 1024. This logical block size is not what we usually think of as a block, which we say is 512 bytes, historically.1. http://localhost:457/FS_admin/_Choosing_a_Logical_Block_Size.html
